Food for a 2 year old child. Nutrition for a child from two to three years old

Good afternoon
I really need your experience and advice.
The child is 2.5 years old, and his diet is simply terrible, in my opinion:
Breakfast 8-8:30
Almost any cereal porridge (oatmeal, rice, etc.) with fruits or berries (if sour, then with 1 teaspoon of sugar) completely unblended, as for 6-month-olds... periodically I offer it in cereal, he refuses to eat it.
Lunch 12:30
Steamed cauliflower + zucchini with a drop of vegetable oil - respectively pureed (now I make it myself, baby food in winter) and pureed meat (again, baby food, no matter how many times I’ve tried it, he doesn’t eat my own puree or jarred meatballs, and of course homemade )
Second lunch 16-16:30 (you can’t call it an afternoon snack)
Pasta with butter
Egg noodles with butter
Fried potatoes (I fry them in the oven on a baking sheet with a drop of oil, although it still doesn’t leave me with the feeling that it’s harmful for the child)
Accordingly, one of the three “dishes” written above.
Dinner 20:20
Same porridge with fruit, but different grain and fruit.
And so every single day!!! Only the dish for the second lunch changes, but most often it’s pasta (he asks for it himself).
Between meals, crackers, ala crisps (the composition is not scary, but still...), Hines children's cookies (and no other, the picture doesn't seem to match, he won't even pick it up), white bread or a loaf, sometimes bagels.
He only drinks homemade compote (not too sweet) and juice; he doesn’t drink water himself when I force him to, and only just a little.
He eats only one variety of apples – “Golden”, peeled and cut into slices.
Lollipop is a very rare sweet, I think he likes the shape better, I made homemade ones from sugar, but he doesn’t eat them.
All!
There is no interest in food, I cooked pies and buns, cheesecakes, pancakes, omelettes, boiled eggs, boiled potatoes and mashed potatoes, soups, borscht, cutlets, and just pieces of fruit and vegetables, and boiled meat. He doesn't eat! I sit him down to eat, put a plate in front of him, and if he sees something different from the usual food that he eats, he categorically refuses, and they persuaded him to just try and leave him hungry, you won’t get anything else to eat, but the result is always the same - he doesn’t eat( ((
He is not yet intolerant to cow's milk protein, that is, he also does not eat any milk, he used to make cottage cheese herself from goat's milk, mixed it with fruit, but now he does not eat that either.
And one more strange thing - after fish (fish puree) I vomited like a fountain, as if poisoned, the first time was last year, we even went to the hospital in an ambulance, a year passed and I decided to try again - the same result.
I used to eat pilaf, buckwheat, fresh cucumbers, grapes... Now he doesn’t eat that either!
I'm already desperate! I am tormented by the thought that he lacks food and the necessary elements!
I’m thinking of sending him to kindergarten, maybe looking at other children will awaken the desire to try the food (there are no children his age around, everyone is much older), but on the other hand, no one will blend porridge for breakfast/dinner (((

And gradually, from one and a half years to 3 years, the children’s diet changes, slowly approaching the usual common table. It is important for parents themselves to set an example for their child in food culture, behavior at the table, and also, if possible, reconsider their own usual diet in favor of more wholesome and healthy food, a balanced and correct menu.

By the age of two years, all 20 baby teeth should have erupted, which gives the child the ability to fully bite, chew and grind food. Chewing is important for more than just biting and chewing food. The chewing process triggers the production of hydrochloric acid and pepsin in the gastric juice, moistens the food bolus with saliva, starting the process of partial breakdown of carbohydrates by salivary amylase. This makes food easier to digest.

The most important task at this time is to teach the child to chew and consume denser foods that require thorough chewing, i.e. food in pieces, not grated and ground:

  • you need to gradually replace semi-liquid and liquid dishes with denser ones (with the exception of first courses, they must be included in the child’s diet).
  • porridges from boiled cereals are gradually introduced into the diet
  • casseroles from vegetables or cereals, cottage cheese
  • pieces of meat and stewed vegetables.

If children at this age do not learn to eat dense foods that require active chewing, they will later refuse or be reluctant to eat the fruits and vegetables they need, which need to be bitten and chewed, as well as meat, which also needs to be bitten and chewed thoroughly.

Nutrition of a child at 2-3 years old

After one and a half years, you can gradually switch to four meals a day:

  • Breakfast 8.00-9.00
  • Lunch 12.30-13.30
  • Afternoon tea 15.30-16.30
  • Dinner 18.30-19.00

At the same time, lunch should account for at least a third of the total daily caloric intake, this is about 35%. The rest of the calories are distributed between breakfast, afternoon snack and dinner. The daily energy value of products should reach 1400-1500 kcal. A child of this age should receive per day:

  • Proteins – at least 60-70 g, with up to 75% of them being of animal origin
  • Fats - at least 50-60 g, of which about 10 g vegetable oils
  • Carbohydrates - at least 220 g, most of which should be complex carbohydrates.

It is extremely important at this age to maintain a proper diet; this will be very significant at any age, and especially at the stage of developing “adult” nutrition. If the correct diet is strictly observed, intervals between main meals are maintained, children will gradually develop food conditioned reflexes by this time.

This will ensure the correct and harmonious functioning of the entire digestive tract, starting from the oral cavity and ending with the intestines, where in due time digestive juices will begin to separate by the time food masses enter there. The regime will allow you to digest food as completely and correctly as possible and absorb all its components.

With an irregular diet or erratic meals, these reflexes quickly fade, this leads to a decrease in the production of digestive juices, and as a result, food will not be fully absorbed. Food residues in the large intestine will rot and ferment, which will lead to constipation, stool disorders and disruption of the general condition. And this will also lead to the fact that children will constantly eat poorly, saying that they simply do not want to eat.

Nutritional features under 3 years of age

In early childhood, the volume of the stomach is small, it is empty of food in about 3-4 hours, food rich in protein and fats can be retained for up to 4.5-5 hours. It is on the basis of these data that four meals a day for children are built. In this case, the intervals between feedings should be approximately 3.5-4 hours. From the age of one and a half years, with a child of normal (and even more so overweight) weight, it is important to wean him from night meals. The only exceptions will be children who are still breastfed and fall asleep with the breast.

The introduction of any food other than breast milk at night can lead to disturbances in the processes of night sleep, and will create difficulties for the parents themselves in the form of constant running around with bottles and mugs.

Regardless of how many times your child eats food, the timing of its intake should be constant. In the set power time mode, deviations are allowed no more than 15-20 minutes. This is due to the peculiarities of the formation of conditioned food reflexes with the separation of digestive juices.

In the intervals between main meals, you should not indulge your child with high-calorie foods and sweets. It is worth removing from snacks such dishes as rolls and cookies, undiluted fruit juices and dairy products, sweets and chocolate. This will lead to a decrease in appetite and may lead to the fact that during the next meal the child simply does not want to eat cooked meat, vegetable or cereal dishes necessary for his nutrition.

What can you give a child aged 2-3 years?

Just as in the previous period, after one and a half years, the child’s nutrition should be varied and nutritious. It should include useful products:

  • milk and dairy products
  • meat, fish and poultry dishes
  • cereal side dishes and porridges
  • bakery products
  • vegetables and fruits
  • healthy sweets and desserts.

Dairy

After one and a half years, children need to consume a sufficient amount of fermented milk products, and from two years of age, whole cow's milk can be gradually introduced into the diet. Dairy products will be sources for the child:

  • easily digestible animal protein
  • calcium and phosphorus necessary for skeletal growth
  • animal fat and fat-soluble vitamins, in particular vitamin D
  • beneficial microbial flora, which stimulates the growth and development of its own, strengthens the immune system and stimulates digestion.

The total daily amount of dairy products at this age should be at least 500-600 ml, taking into account the volume of milk for cooking. Children's daily diet should include products such as kefir or yogurt, biolact. Several times a week, such products as cottage cheese and products made from it, cottage cheese products, cheesecakes, mild unsalted cheeses, cream, sour cream are used. They can be consumed either whole or used for preparing and seasoning first and second courses.

Under the age of three years it is permissible to use:

  • 50-100 g of cottage cheese with fat content from 5 to 11%
  • 5-10 g cream with 10-20% fat content
  • 5-10 g sour cream with 10-20% fat content
  • yoghurts, kefir or biolact with fat content from 2.5 to 4%
  • after two years, milk with a fat content of 2.5 to 3.2%

Dairy products can be used to prepare or season cheesecakes, dumplings, casseroles or desserts.

Meat products and poultry

In the diet of children under three years of age, the amount of meat gradually increases; by the age of two it reaches 110 g, and by the age of three it reaches 120 g. For baby food at this age, the following types of meat are used:

  • lean beef
  • veal
  • rabbit meat
  • lean pork
  • lamb
  • horsemeat.
  • liver
  • heart.

Meat dishes are prepared in the form of stews with pieces of meat, steamed or oven cutlets, minced meat, stewed meat in small pieces. You should give up sausages and all kinds of deli meats for up to three years. All of them are full of salt and spices, dyes and other food chemicals, which is not at all useful for the child. If it is impossible to limit children from industrially produced semi-finished meat products, once every two weeks you can allow the child children's milk sausages, but the products must be of high quality.

Poultry dishes - chicken, quail, turkey - will be useful. But duck and goose meat is not given at this age; it is poorly digestible and very fatty for children.

Unfortunately, today on supermarket shelves the quality of dairy products, pork, and chickens does not always meet the standards acceptable for children. In Russia, there is no strict control and restrictions on the use of antibiotics and growth hormones when growing poultry and meat, as in some developed countries, therefore Rosselkhoznadzor inspections regularly reveal certain violations in the production of meat and poultry (see), which does not improve the health of our children.

Eggs

Chicken eggs will be one of the main sources of protein for a child; they should be present in children's diet often - daily or every other day. Eggs are given to children hard-boiled, in dishes or in the form of omelettes. The use of poached or soft-boiled eggs is prohibited due to the risk of salmonellosis. If you are intolerant to chicken eggs, you can use quail eggs, but waterfowl eggs (ducks, geese) are prohibited in the diet of children under three years of age.

Fish and fish dishes

  • In the absence of allergies and other contraindications, it is worth using river and sea fish in children’s menus once or twice a week.
  • At the same time, fish dishes should be from low-fat varieties; salmon, sturgeon, halibut or salmon should be excluded from the children’s diet.
  • The amount of fish per day reaches 40-50 g.
  • You can offer children boiled or stewed fish without bones, fish balls or cutlets, and specialized canned food for children.
  • But canned fish for adults, as well as smoked, salted and dried fish, are prohibited for children.
  • Also, you should not give children fish caviar; it is a strong allergen.

Vegetables

Fresh or thermally processed fruits contain a large amount of fiber and ballast substances that pass through the intestines in transit and are not digested. At the same time, these substances stimulate intestinal motility, thus counteracting constipation. But this is far from the only advantage of vegetables, berries and fruits. Due to their composition, they help in stimulating appetite, as they promote the separation of digestive enzymes. Fruits and vegetables also contain many vitamins and mineral components that replenish constantly depleted reserves.

However, you should not go too heavy on eating potatoes, as one of the leading vegetables in the diet; their quantity is limited to 100-120 g per day, the rest should be obtained from other vegetables. On average, the diet should contain at least 200-250 g of fresh or cooked vegetables. Vegetables are used to prepare first and second courses, salads and even desserts and baked goods. Vegetables such as:

  • carrots, onions
  • tomatoes, cucumbers
  • zucchini and squash
  • pumpkin, beets
  • cauliflower, white cabbage, broccoli

In the diet of children after one and a half years, it is necessary to include fresh garden greens - in salads, first and second courses.

  • You can also give your child green onions and garlic in small quantities to give dishes a more piquant taste.
  • expansion of the diet occurs due to the gradual introduction of turnips, radishes, radishes, and legumes (peas, beans) into the diet after two years.

Proper preliminary and heat treatment of vegetables is important so that they retain a maximum of vitamins and mineral components. When peeling vegetables, you need to cut off a thin layer of skin, since the peel area contains the largest reserves of vitamins. In salads or vinaigrettes, it is recommended to boil vegetables in their skins by steaming or boiling them in a small amount of water. Peeled vegetables should not be kept in water for a long time so that vitamins and minerals are not washed out. Vegetable broth should be used when cooking peeled and washed vegetables. Vegetables need to cook for a certain amount of time:

  • spinach and sorrel no more than 10 minutes
  • beets – up to 90 minutes (in a slow cooker 20 minutes)
  • potatoes – up to 25 minutes
  • carrots – up to 30 minutes
  • cabbage – up to 30 minutes

For salads and vinaigrettes, raw vegetables are peeled and chopped or grated immediately before eating, since the action of atmospheric oxygen destroys vitamins in peeled and finely chopped foods, vitamin C and group B are especially affected.

Fruits and berries

Fruits must be included in the diet of children under three years of age; the amount of fruit per day should not be less than 200 g, and berries - about 20 g. apples, plums, pears, cherries, bananas, oranges. Considering that citrus and exotic fruits can cause allergic skin reactions, you need to introduce them into the child’s diet slowly and only in small pieces, monitoring the reaction.

Seasonal berries will be no less useful in children’s diets - children can be given cranberries, lingonberries, gooseberries, and chokeberries, currants, strawberries, wild strawberries. You should not give a lot of berries; initially, you can limit yourself to one handful, since an excess of berries can also be harmful. Any new fruits and vegetables should be introduced little by little, and reactions to them from the skin and digestion should be monitored.

Fruits and berries can also influence digestion and regulate stool.

  • Blueberries, pears, chokeberries, and black currants can strengthen stool; if you have constipation, you shouldn’t give too much of these fruits.
  • Kiwi, plum, apricot, or simply an excess of fresh berries or fruits eaten on an empty stomach have a laxative effect.

Cereals, pasta

In the diet of children, it is worth using various types of cereals; buckwheat and oatmeal porridge will be especially useful for children after one and a half years of age; they are richer than all others in complete vegetable protein, minerals and vitamins. No less useful in the diet will be cereals and porridges made from them such as pearl barley, millet or barley.

At this age, it is quite acceptable to use noodles, noodles as side dishes or milk soups as side dishes, but they should be consumed no more than twice a day - they are rich in carbohydrates and high in calories. On average, children under three years of age need no more than 20 g of cereal and no more than 50 g of pasta per day.

Sweet

Children's diets may also include sugar, which improves the taste of cooked dishes, but if it is in excess, there is a load on the pancreas and excess weight, appetite decreases, and metabolism is disrupted (see the article about the dangers of refined sugar). Under the age of three years, no more than 40 g of sugar per day is allowed, this amount will also include glucose in juices, sweets or drinks.

Glucose is good for brain function, but foods with complex carbohydrates (cereals, potatoes, pasta, bread) in recommended quantities do not provide the entire amount of glucose. The volume of nutrition cannot be increased due to the child’s digestive characteristics, so children at this age need to replenish glucose reserves for the brain through light carbohydrates - sweets. They give a rapid increase in blood glucose levels, and it is quickly delivered to the brain, liver and kidneys.

But you need sweets in moderation; excess of them does not have time to be consumed and leads to excess weight. Healthy sweets include marmalade, marshmallows, jam, fruit caramels and marshmallows. Chocolate, candies with chocolate and cocoa are not recommended for children due to their stimulating effect on the nervous system and high allergenicity.

The older our baby gets, the more foods we can safely introduce into his diet, but there are still a number of restrictions. Children's menus from 1 year of age should be varied, healthy and tasty, but they are far from being suitable for adults, since the baby's body is not yet strong enough. From this article we will learn how to choose the right diet for children from 1.5 years old, so that they eat both profitably and with pleasure.

What should be on a little fidget's plate after a year? Let's look at the most important nutritional principles for children of this age.

Principles of nutrition

4 meals a day

A child of this age should eat 4 times a day - this will allow him to form the right eating habits and follow a daily routine.

At breakfast, the baby should receive 25% of the total daily ration, at lunch - 35%, at dinner - 25%, and in the afternoon - 15%. This distribution will teach him to continue to eat properly.

Food structure

Now that the child already has significantly more teeth, it is not necessary to wipe or grind food in a blender; it will be enough to mash it with a fork or grate it on a coarse grater.

Soft foods such as bananas, berries, soft bread can be given whole, cut into slices.

Meat can now be offered not only in the form of puree or souffle, but also cutlets, meatballs and meatballs.

Heat treatment

Fried foods are still unacceptable in the diet. It doesn’t matter what we are talking about, meat, cereals or vegetables, we steam them.

So, let's look at specific examples of what breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner should look like for children aged 1.5 years.

Breakfast

As we remember, it should be quite high in calories, protein and carbohydrates. It is optimal to cook porridge with milk or water.

Children's menus from 1.5 years old may include oatmeal, wheat porridge, buckwheat and millet. They are the most useful. As for rice, it is better to cook it less often, since unpolished, that is, brown, is still rough for the baby’s gastrointestinal tract, and white is less healthy.

We offer you several sample breakfast options.

Option I - porridge

Millet

Let's prepare milk millet porridge. The serving should be approximately 150 – 170 ml.

To prepare the most healthy porridge, you need to cook it as little as possible, and for this you just need to soak the cereal for a few hours or overnight. Millet is the densest and most difficult to boil, so it makes sense to soak it in the evening.

  • Pour 2 tbsp. cereals and leave overnight.
  • In the morning, we wash the cereal, fill it with clean water so that it covers the millet by less than half a finger, add salt and put it on the fire.
  • As soon as the porridge boils, add 2 tbsp. milk, add 1 tsp. sugar and cook for another 5-7 minutes.
  • Turn off the finished porridge, let it stand under the lid for 5 - 10 minutes and serve. You can add 1 tsp per serving. butter.

Instead of sugar, you can use jam or preserves as a sweetener, but it is better to avoid honey for now - it is too allergenic.

Oatmeal

We prepare it for children over 1.5 years old only from regular Hercules flakes. No instant cereals, since there is no benefit left in them, only extra sugar and preservatives. But if you want to cook it as quickly as possible, we also soak 2 tbsp. cereal.

Fill them with boiling water in a ladle so that the water is level with the cereal, add some salt and cover with a lid. Keep for about half an hour, pour in 3-4 tbsp. milk and put on fire. Bring to a boil, that’s it, you can turn off the porridge, it’s ready!

We also fill it with oil and either add 1 tsp. sugar or jam.

In addition, it is good to add fruit to oatmeal. It is better to do this 5 minutes before the end of cooking, and if the cereal has been soaked, then immediately after the porridge boils.

Children's cottage cheese

We choose a product with medium fat content, 9 or 15%. Nutritionists categorically do not recommend eating village cottage cheese for children 1.5 years old because the fat content in it is too high.

The serving should be approximately 100 - 150 g. You can use children's store-bought cottage cheese. If desired, add fresh fruit to it: cut an apple, pear or banana into slices and mix.

If the child eats cottage cheese well, but avoids porridge, or vice versa, we will prepare an original breakfast by combining both ingredients.

Cottage cheese with oat flakes

To begin, grind 3-4 tbsp in a blender or coffee grinder. oatmeal. This amount is enough for several servings.

Take 100 g of cottage cheese, add 1 tbsp to it. the resulting oatmeal, sweeten it with sugar or jam at your discretion, mix and serve! From such a curd mass you can form a hedgehog or any other figure familiar to your baby.

It’s also good to add ¼ banana to the cottage cheese - you can simply cut it up or other seasonal fruits. We remember that for children from 1.5 years old, apples and pears need to be grated.

Option III - omelet

Since we do not yet offer fried food to children of this age, we will prepare the same omelet as for adults, but in a different way.

  1. Mix 1 egg with 3 tbsp in a plate. milk, salt.
  2. Then take a small jar with a lid, grease the walls with vegetable oil, pour the egg mixture into it and place it in a pan with cold water. The level should correspond to the height of the omelette.
  3. Place on the fire and cover the pan with a lid. After boiling, cook the omelette for 20 minutes, turn it off, let it cool without opening it and take it out. To do this, you need to shake the jar, then the omelette will slide out on its own.

If your baby loves this dish, you can begin to diversify its taste by adding grated vegetables: zucchini - literally 1 tbsp for this volume, broccoli or cauliflower.

In addition to this breakfast, you can offer a slice of bread and butter. From the age of 1.5 years, a child can already receive up to 15 - 20 g of this product per day. The best option would be a sandwich with white bread or a loaf, since rye varieties are much more difficult to digest and can cause bloating.

Dinner

Lunch should account for the largest amount of food, as we remember, so for starters, you can offer your child a salad. The portion should be purely symbolic so as not to kill your appetite before the main course, but fresh vegetables improve peristalsis and have a positive effect on the body as a whole, so you shouldn’t neglect the salad either.

Well, if the child is not a fan of first courses, it will even more so become a worthy alternative to soup.

Salad

In the summer we cook from seasonal vegetables - tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers. We chop everything finely or grate it. The serving should be about 1.5 tbsp, fill it with ½ tsp. vegetable oil or low-fat sour cream.

In winter and autumn we make salads from boiled beets, Chinese cabbage (cut very finely) and carrots. It is better to leave cabbage until 2 years old - its fibers are too coarse.

First course

Children's menus from 1 year of age include the preparation of soups, both vegetable and meat broths, so we can safely choose what the child likes. The main condition is that if the first is vegetable, the second must contain animal protein.

Option 1 – beetroot soup with rice

Thanks to the vegetables included in the composition, it combines the qualities of a salad.

  • To prepare 2 servings, take a piece of chicken fillet 60 - 70 g. Fill it with 2 glasses of filtered water and put on fire.
  • Meanwhile, grate 30 g of raw beets (3 x 2 cm block), peel ½ of a medium tomato and finely chop along with ¼ of a bell pepper.
  • As soon as the chicken boils, salt it to taste and, after waiting 10 minutes, add the vegetables to the broth. We also put ½ tbsp of white rice there. Cook until the cereal is ready.
  • Cut the meat into small pieces and serve with 1 teaspoon of low-fat sour cream or the same amount of olive oil.

Option 2 – fish soup with cauliflower

We choose the fillet at our discretion: pangasius, tilapia or sole. We will need 60 - 70 g. Pour in 2 glasses of water and put on fire.

1 large cauliflower inflorescence (50 g), washed well and finely chopped. We also chop ¼ of a small onion and the same amount of bell pepper.

As soon as the fish boils, add vegetables to it and add some salt. Cook until the cauliflower is ready.

If desired, you can add ½ tbsp to this soup. “Gossamer” noodles, this will make him more filling, but remember that you shouldn’t give pasta to a 1.5-year-old child more than 2-3 times a week.

Second course

You should not often choose potatoes - they contain too much starch; it is better to accustom your baby to stews made from other vegetables. At this age, he can already eat zucchini, broccoli, carrots, onions, Brussels sprouts, tomatoes and bell peppers - there will be plenty to choose from!

We also prepare side dishes from cereals.

Option 1 - vegetable stew with rice and egg

For 2 servings we will need: 100 g of zucchini, 30 g of carrots, 20 g of onions, 30 g of bell pepper and 60-70 g of broccoli. Finely chop everything and put it in a small saucepan. Add ½ tbsp there. rice, salt and pour 1/3 cup of milk.

Simmer until the cereal is ready and at the end of cooking add a separately beaten raw chicken egg. Stir the stew several times to cook the egg faster, turn it off and serve.

This dish, as you can see, combines both vegetable and protein components.

Option 2 – liver soufflé with vegetables

To prepare the soufflé, we will need turkey or chicken liver - they are more tender and milder in taste than beef.

Place 200 g of liver, crumb from one slice of white bread, 50 ml of milk and 1 egg into a blender. Beat everything well until smooth. Add some salt, mix again and place in silicone molds, filling them 2/3 full.

We bake the soufflé either in a slow cooker using the “steam” mode, in the microwave (2-3 minutes) or in the oven. To do this, place the molds in a baking tray half filled with water and cook at 180°C for 20 minutes.

Serve with vegetable stew from the previous recipe, but without rice and eggs.

Compote

One and a half year old children love dried fruit compote. We make it almost unsweetened, since the taste will already be very rich.

  • For a liter of drink we will need 50 g of dried apricots, prunes and raisins.
  • We thoroughly rinse everything in a colander, add 1 liter of filtered water and put it on the fire.
  • Cook for half an hour after boiling, add a couple of teaspoons of sugar and cook for another 10 minutes, taste for sugar, if there is not enough, add a little more and turn off.

Serve cooled.

Afternoon snack

During the intermediate meal, we offer the baby something light, like fruit - 1-2 slices of apple, crackers or unsweetened cookies.

It is better to abstain from confectionery products such as cakes and chocolate cookies, as at 1.5 years of age they can cause allergies.

Or you can make a wonderful carrot casserole, older children will also appreciate it, so let’s make more.

  1. 200 g of carrots, three on a fine or coarse grater and simmer with the addition of 2 tsp. butter over low heat along with 20 g of semolina, making sure that they do not brown, but simply cook.
  2. If necessary, add water.
  3. Let cool and beat in 1 egg.
  4. Mix, add 80 - 100 g of cottage cheese.
  5. Add sugar to taste and stir again.
  6. Place the mixture on a greased frying pan, baking sheet, or fill silicone molds with it and bake for 25 - 30 minutes at 180°C.

Serve the finished casserole with sour cream and jam.

Dinner

For dinner, the portion on the children's menu for 1.5 years old should be small, but high in calories.

Option 1 – fish pilaf

We choose fish fillets based on the child’s tastes, remembering that it should not be fatty and bony.

  • Grate ½ medium carrots, finely chop ½ onion.
  • In a small deep frying pan or saucepan, heat 2 tsp. olive oil and add vegetables to it, salt.
  • Keep them stirring for 5 – 7 minutes.

While they are cooking, cut 100 g of fish fillet into pieces. Add to vegetables and mix. Wash 50 g of round rice well and also place it in a frying pan. Pour water onto your finger and close.

Cook over low heat until the rice is completely cooked. If necessary, add water.

Serve sprinkled with herbs.

Option 2 - turkey cutlets with buckwheat

  • Cut 200 g of fillet into cubes and place in a blender bowl along with 2 quail eggs (or ½ chicken), 1 tbsp. breadcrumbs and 1/3 chopped onion.
  • Grind everything, add a little milk if necessary, and salt.
  • Let the minced meat sit for 15 – 20 minutes and form the cutlets.

You can cook them in a double boiler, multicooker (“steamed” mode) or in the oven - the children’s menu for children from 1.5 years old does not prohibit this. Serve with buckwheat.

You see how tasty and interesting your baby’s food can be! The children's menu from 1 year is very varied. Cook and delight your little one with new tastes!

“I cook, I try, I stand at the stove, and he shouts “Fe!” and pushes the plate away. “And what should I feed this child?” my friend complains.
Common situation? Dear mothers, I understand you. Sometimes feeding a child is an impossible task. And we even feel sorry not for the products themselves, but for the efforts and time we spend in the kitchen. Children's dishes should be fresh, tasty, and interesting. But how can a busy mother implement all this?

After talking with friends and conducting a small survey, we managed to put together several simple and tasty dishes that our children love. But, most importantly, their preparation does not take much time.

1. Chicken in sweet sauce

Ingredients: chicken, honey, turmeric, coriander, salt, pepper, garlic, orange.

In a deep bowl, mix 2-3 tbsp. spoons of honey, 1-2 tsp. turmeric, a pinch of ground coriander, pepper, salt, squeeze 1-2 cloves of garlic. Add the juice of one small orange. You need to marinate the chicken for half an hour. If desired, you can leave it overnight. Place in a preheated oven for about an hour. The side dish can be mashed potatoes, pasta or porridge. The chicken will have an islandy-sweet taste and look interesting! And you can use the baking time for yourself.

2. Shells with cheese

Ingredients: large shell pasta, seasoned cheese, tomatoes, onions, boiled chicken breast, salt, pepper.
Preparation: Boil the pasta, but 2-3 minutes less than what is written in the instructions. Let the pasta cool.

While the shells are boiling, cut the onion into cubes and fry in olive oil, add salt, pepper, and aromatic herbs if desired. Cut the boiled chicken breast and tomatoes into small cubes. Mix onions, tomatoes and meat. Grate the cheese on a fine grater.

Can be served with any salad. Cooking time takes approximately 15-20 minutes.

3. Potatoes with cheese

These potatoes are tender on the inside and have a delicious crispy crust on top. Believe me, it does not leave anyone indifferent. Minimum ingredients, minimum time, maximum pleasure!

Ingredients: potatoes, butter, cheese, salt.
Preparation: Choose small potatoes. Cut peeled or well-washed potatoes in half. Place on a greased baking sheet, add salt and a piece of butter. Place in a preheated oven for 20 minutes. Then put a piece of cheese on each potato. Cook for a few more minutes until the cheese melts and browns a little. Can be served with any salad.

4. Chicken liver with sour cream sauce

Not all children love liver, although it is very useful. But this recipe is just a godsend. The liver will become tender, aromatic, and will simply melt in your mouth.

Ingredients: chicken liver, onions, carrots, salt, pepper, aromatic herbs, sour cream, sunflower oil.
Preparation: fry chicken liver on both sides until color changes in sunflower oil in a preheated frying pan. Add diced onion, salt and pepper, and add aromatic herbs if desired. After a few minutes, add the carrots grated on a medium grater. Simmer for a few minutes under the lid. Add low-fat sour cream. Add fresh herbs if desired. Simmer for a few more minutes.

You can serve with pasta, potatoes or porridge. With this liver, children will sweep away everything. It takes about 15-20 minutes to prepare, and the taste is simply amazing!

5. Meatball soup

The first courses are very healthy and simply necessary in the children's menu. But is it easy for you to feed your child soup? I think the answer is probably no.
Everyone loves my signature meatball soup because of its beauty, and taste, of course. And it takes 15 minutes to prepare.

Ingredients: minced chicken, potatoes, carrots, onions, green peas, turmeric, small star pasta, olive oil, salt, pepper, bay leaf, herbs.
Preparation: If you have minced chicken lying around in the refrigerator, this is a godsend. Well, if not, then cook it yourself by chopping the meat, adding a small onion, a clove of garlic and salt to taste.

Cut the potatoes, carrots and onions into cubes and make meatballs from the minced meat. Place the potatoes and carrots on the fire, wait until they boil and cook for a few minutes, add the onion, salt, pepper, bay leaf, pasta and turmeric. Cook for a few minutes. Add meatballs and a spoonful of olive oil. A minute before readiness, add the greens. If you have canned peas, add them at the end. If fresh - along with potatoes.

This soup looks very beautiful, the turmeric makes it golden and delicious, and the ingredients of different colors and shapes will definitely interest the children.

6. Fish cutlets

Everyone knows that fish is a very healthy product. But it just so happens that many children do not like fish. These cutlets are delicious, look beautiful and can be disguised as regular cutlets. And they are also useful because they are not fried, but baked.

Ingredients: fish fillet 500 g, 2-3 slices of white bread without crust, onion, hard cheese, one egg, vegetable oil, dill, salt.
Preparation: pass the fish fillet through a meat grinder along with the onion, add an egg, squeezed bread in water, or in milk. Add finely chopped dill, salt, a spoonful of vegetable oil. With wet hands we form cutlets. For beauty, you can give them the shape of stars, fish, hearts. Place on a baking sheet and place in a preheated oven for 15-17 minutes. After this time, sprinkle with grated cheese and place in the oven for another 5 minutes. The cutlets are ready!

7. Carrot cutlets

We adults know that vegetables are healthy. Children are not at all interested in this. But these carrot cutlets should attract the attention of children. There are many variations of this dish, but these two, salty and sweet, are the simplest and most delicious.

Sweet cutlets
Ingredients: 5-6 medium-sized carrots, half a glass of semolina, 2-3 tsp. sugar, one egg, a pinch of salt, vegetable oil.
Preparation: boil the carrots, when cool, grate them, add semolina, egg, sugar, salt. Form cutlets, roll in semolina and fry in vegetable oil. Can be served with jam or jam.

Salty cutlets
Ingredients: carrots, small onion, garlic clove, salt, egg, semolina, dill.
Preparation: Grate boiled chilled carrots, add chopped onion, garlic, finely chopped dill, egg, salt, semolina, stir, form into cutlets, fry on both sides.

8. Omelet with sausage and vegetables

Eggs are undoubtedly a very healthy product. As always, not all children like scrambled eggs. But I think this fluffy, soft and fragrant omelette should interest kids. And if you get a little more creative and add interesting ingredients to it, children will definitely want to try it.

Ingredients: 8 eggs, 1 glass of milk, 1-2 tbsp. spoons of flour, a whisper of salt, several baby sausages, 1-2 tbsp. spoons of canned peas, 1 boiled carrot, 1-2 boiled potatoes, greens.
Preparation: break eggs into a deep bowl, add milk, salt, flour and beat well. Cut the sausage into rings, carrots and potatoes into cubes, finely chop the greens, rinse the peas with water. Add all ingredients to the eggs, mix, pour into a greased baking sheet and place in a preheated oven. This omelette can be served with fresh vegetables or sauces.

9. Mannik

Mannik is a flight of mother’s imagination, and the ingredients can easily be found in any refrigerator.

Ingredients: 1 glass of semolina, 1 glass of sour cream (can be replaced with kefir or taken in half), half a glass of sugar, three eggs, half a teaspoon of soda, you can add vanilla sugar.
Preparation: Mix all ingredients and let stand for a while. Can be prepared in the evening and left in the refrigerator overnight.
Pour into a greased pan and place in the oven for 30 minutes. You can put dried fruits, berries in the manna, or simply pour over your favorite jam or syrup.

10. Curd casserole

Cottage cheese is almost the healthiest dairy product. But my baby categorically refuses to eat it, but the cottage cheese casserole goes with a bang. Over several years of preparation, she has become my best friend and savior when it is difficult to feed the child something. I also love cooking it because you can imagine and experiment during the process, and it’s almost impossible to spoil it.

Ingredients: 1 kg of cottage cheese, 3 eggs, half a glass of semolina, half a glass of milk, vanillin, 1 glass of sugar (to taste, a little less), zest of one lemon, juice of half a lemon, 1 tbsp. spoon of starch.
Preparation: Pass the cottage cheese through a meat grinder or grind in a blender. The more tender the cottage cheese, the tastier the casserole will be.

While you do this, pour milk over the semolina. Stir the eggs with sugar, it is not necessary to beat until foamy. Mix cottage cheese, eggs, semolina, add vanillin, pour in the juice of half a lemon, grate the lemon zest on a fine grater, add a spoonful of starch. Mix everything well. You can add dried apricots, raisins to the casserole, after soaking them in water, or berries and fruits. Pour the cottage cheese into a greased pan and place in a preheated oven for 40 minutes until golden brown on top. It's quick to prepare, and in 40 free minutes you can do a lot of useful things.
